During this season’s field campaign in the Schmirn Valley a shallow landslide that occurred in the course of heavy precipitation events back in June 2013 was mapped. Additionally serveral initial scarps were found in the vicinity of the landslide.

From Sept. 17th to 19th geotechnical samples were collected in the Laternser Valley, Vorarlberg, Austria. Special thanks go to Fabian and Jasmin for the terrific support in the field! You can find some pictures in the photo-gallery.

Within the scarp of a shallow landslide triggered by prolonged rainfall in early June 2013 a steady depth of water table was observed.
